While flying my DJI Mavic 3 Pro over Rice Yard in Waycross, Georgia, I spotted something that instantly stood out—two military tanks loaded onto a flatcar. It’s not every day you see something like that, and I knew I had to capture it.
The tanks were parked as part of a larger rail line, most likely waiting for transport. From the air, the scene was striking—massive machinery surrounded by the endless geometry of railcars and track lines. I was able to get a clean panorama of the setup, showing off both the scale of the equipment and the size of the yard itself.
Rice Yard is a central piece of rail activity in the Southeast, and moments like these are why I always keep an eye on what’s rolling through. Whether it’s a special sighting like this or just the daily rhythm of freight, there’s always something worth capturing.
