I recently completed a drone job for the Valvoline oil change center in Pooler, Georgia. The assignment came through a third-party job platform and involved capturing the entire property through a variety of aerial and ground-level photos.
Despite the steady flow of customers coming and going during my 30-minute visit, the shoot went off without a hitch. The skies were completely clear and sunny, which made for ideal flying and clean, crisp imagery. The client requested 25 unedited images from different angles and elevations — including high-level overviews, lower-altitude shots, and several photos taken from the ground.
One thing I noticed on site: there was a very small sign by the road that didn’t stand out much, so it was a good thing their main building displayed the Valvoline logo clearly. It’s the kind of detail that makes drone photography extra helpful — catching features that might be overlooked from the ground.
Jobs like this are a good reminder that even routine commercial properties can benefit from clean visuals that show off the lot layout, customer access points, and brand visibility from the sky.
